My artistic mission as a designer is to stimulate creativity, respect the environment, create a beautiful or magical experience, and inspire others to relax, explore their senses, and enjoy themselves.

As founder and principal at Merits Design Group, Laura brings over 20 years of experience in the design industry. As an illustrator, graphic designer, and branding consultant, Laura owned and operated the boutique graphic design studio, Ink & Paint, serving the wedding, interior design, M&A and education communities in Atlanta for 14 years before turning her artistic journey toward interiors. After earning a master’s degree in Interior Architecture & Design from the Academy Art University, Laura transitioned from creative director at Ink & Paint into principal designer at Merits Design Group in 2014.

An avid cook who comes from a family of chefs, Laura loves sharing her personal expertise in beautiful and efficient kitchen design, guiding a wide array of clients from culinary novices to prolific entertainers. Most recently, Laura served as a senior art director with Disney Live Entertainment, leading the creation and fabrication of custom art and textile packages for Walt Disney World resorts.
